Best Cocktail Bars in Sydney

Best Cocktail Bars in Sydney found at The Pouring Tales

On the hunt for the best cocktails bars in Sydney, I also came across some amazing restaurants as they always come together before of after dinner. It has been a while since I was in Sydney the last time and actually I would have preferred Melbourne but the girlfriend wanted to do Sydney as she had never been. I said yes only to try and get a reservation at Firedoor. Not an easy task but we managed with Vitamin B to get the best seats at the counter. The bar and restaurant experience was great and we saw classics such as Baxter Inn but also new avantgardistic places such as Re or PS40. Find below some of my recommendations to the best cocktail bars and eateries in Sydney.

Re –

A must visit bar in Sydney Eveleigh District. Re is as advantardistic as it gets and the whole concept is very sound. The claim to be pretty much zero waste and from the coasters to the drinks und the materials used in the bar everything is concept but the drinks and staff are great which is the main point. We had a lovely evening there with Matt and Natalie which unfortunately are not working there anymore but we would return in a heartbeat. Re- Bar is not only famous in Sydney but all around the world.

Go there for some drinks but go there if you want to taste Mezcal you cannot find anywhere else but OK Cantina. Stand in the dark alley, try to find a spot in this tiny bar, you won’t regret it. Located in the CBD area, it is not far from some other bar hotspots like the next one.

Maybe Sammy

If you fancy the roaring 50’s. This spot is for you and if you fancy live music you might get lucky here as well. This place is Martin Hudak’s flagship I would say and this genius has opened other places in town which you should check out. Sip some Martini’s and enjoy this drinking den which is also located in the CBD area of Sydney. Cheerio
