Flatbrook Attic

FBA found at The Pouring Tales

After visiting the Varnish in Los Angeles we said its time to throw a party again in our flat in Zurich. It has been too long since the housewarming. The reason? Well a party and mixing cocktails! That was the start to a beautiful little project called Flatbrook Attic. A few months later, the bank account slightly lighter and the passion for a great party unstoppable we threw a big event with 70 friends in 20s attire and the place decorate in the same way. Live music, a proper cocktail menu, real glasses fitting the respective cocktail, canapés, carbon filament lamps and a sore back from mixing. All in all an unforgettable experience for both guests and us. Everything was designed through, from cocktail menu to labels at the tables. It looked like a one off thing. A year later a good friend joined us and we said lets do multiple events. The idea was high end, self invented cocktails mixed self developed bar-tops from old airline trolley. Always 4-5 at a time with a seasonal touch. Different live acts was an integral part of the events, oshiboris for arriving guests, water service of course and always home made food. The style of the speakeasy was similar to the initial party with a small touch of apothecary theme in the 1920s. We were able to fit a bit more than 30 guests and around 15 standing. Reservations only as we knew it would get packed. Words cannot describe the atmosphere of the place, so best have a look yourself. Well worth the hours and hours of preparation and work at the evenings. At this point, once again a big thank you to all involved.
